Nick Furniss has lived in Bracknell, Berkshire England since 1959. Prior to that he lived in several towns in England trying to regain a foothold after serving with the Colonial Service in Uganda. He and his wife, Audrey have three children. Pauline, born in Uganda, Adrian, born in London and Peter, born in Bracknell. They have lived in the same house since 1959. It has a large suburban garden which has been restyled six times, the latest incarnation was started in 2006 and is not yet complete.
Nick has been interested in family history since 1996. He uses his computer to complete data entry and to design databases for holding family information. After tracing his own origins back to around 1800, he became interested in the distribution of the Furniss name throughout England. In January 2008 he decided to set up a web site devoted to the Furniss name throughout the world. He took up an offer by Microsoft to host business web sites and requested the domain name of FurnissWorld.org. A first attempt at this venture may be seen at FurnissWorld
